Career Helix was born out of a situation a lot of people know too well: working somewhere toxic and quietly job hunting at the same time. The two of us were going through it together — both applying at dozens of companies simultaneously, comparing notes on interviews, and nudging each other on whether a place was even worth applying to.
One of us started tracking everything in a spreadsheet — columns for every stage, every contact, every detail that mattered. It worked, and the other followed suit. But as the searches stretched on, the spreadsheets got unwieldy. It was hard to remember who you'd spoken with, what an interview had felt like, or where things had stalled. The job search was already stressful enough without the overhead of maintaining a tracking system from scratch.
That's when the idea clicked: build something that does this properly. A tool built by job seekers, for job seekers — one that keeps everything organized, keeps you focused, and makes a difficult process a little less overwhelming. Career Helix is that tool.
